ALL ZONES NOT WORKING

Start at the #1 possible solution.  I that does not correct the problem then goto step #2, then #3,  etc.

ROTOR REPAIR

Rotor type sprinkler heads have two basic problems which come from age or debris

#1 rotor will not turn

#2 leaks around the riser

Parts sometimes can be purchased, but because of ease of replacement, a new head should be

installed,  to do this simply unscrew the old head and replace.  Be very carefull not to let

any deris fall into the pipe when the sprinkler is off.  Check manufactures specs for adjustments.

Here are the two of the more popular rotor adjustments

Rainbird T-bird

The left trip is fixed. If the left edge must be moved, the case must be turned, or the sprinkler removed from the case, turned, and tightened back down.

The right edge trip is movable. To move the right trip, you must remove the split ring from the nozzle turret (about 1 1/2" down the pop-up piston), while the sprinkler is operating. Then push down on the top of the nozzle housing and turn clockwise to add (only turn in the direction the sprinkler is turning) or counter-clockwise (again only turn in the direction the sprinkler is turning) to reduce the arc pattern.

When you finish adjusting the arc replace the split ring on the pop-up piston.

Hunter PGP

Adjustable heads are preset to approximately 180°. Sprinklers may be adjusted with water on or off. It is recommended that initial adjustment be made before installation.

1. Using the palm of your hand, rotate the nozzle turret counterclockwise to the left stop to complete any interrupted rotation cycle

2. Rotate the nozzle turret clockwise to the right stop. This is the fixed side of the arc. The nozzle turret must be held in this position for all arc adjustments.

To Increase Arc:

1. Insert the key end of the Hunter wrench into the adjustment socket .

2. While holding the nozzle turret at the right stop, turn the wrench clockwise. Each full turn of the wrench increases the arc 90°.

3. Adjust to any arc between 40° and 360°.

4. Wrench will stop turning or there will be a ratcheting noise, when the maximum arc (360°) is reached.

To Decrease Arc:

1. Insert the key end of the Hunter wrench into the adjustment socket .

2. While holding the nozzle turret at the right stop, turn the wrench counterclockwise. Each full turn of the wrench decreases the arc 90°.

3. Adjust to any arc between 40° and 360°.

4. Wrench will stop turning, or there will be a ratcheting noise, when the minimum arc (40°) is reached.
